Aurora Accessibility Funds

The city of Aurora has a new program aimed at helping the disabled. If you qualify, the city will pay up to $10,000 to make your home handicap accessible.

The program is income-qualified. Applicants must be low-to-moderate income based upon HUD established limits. Also, applicants must own and occupy their homes.

People can call the Community Development office at 303-739-7900 and ask to speak to a program specialist for more information and to see if they qualify. The specialist can explain the program in more detail, get them pre-qualified over the phone, and then arrange the application appointment. The office is located at 9898 E. Colfax Ave. in the new MLK Library building.
